Answer 1 :
This would be the best place you could go: Indiana University School of Dentistry 1121 West Michigan Street Indianapolis, IN 46202 (317) 274-7957
Answer 2 :
Just a warning when looking for a cheap dentist. You usually get what you pay for and this is especially true in dentistry. There is usually a reason why the doctor is doing work with little to no compensation and that reason is usually not because they are a saint. It might be better to pay a little more up front for dental work and know you are doing what is best for you then recieving free or low cost work and then having to pay somebody later to fix the 'free' work.
Answer 3 :
Contact your local or state dental association and and see if there are any dentists who provide free or reduced cost care for low-income, disabled or senior patients. Call your local health department and ask about health centers that provide dental care for free or on a sliding scale. Your local United Way may also be aware of such a clinic. In some areas, you can reach them now by dialing 2-1-1 for "non-emergency information." Go to a dental school, if there is one near you, for reduced costs. Check http://www.toothwoman.net to see if low-cost or free dental services are available near you. Check http://bphc.hrsa.gov and choose "Find a Health Center" to see if there is a low-cost clinic near you. Check http://www.nfdh.org/DDS.html to see if your state has a "Donated Dental Services" program. D.D.S. is designed to locate dentists who will give free care to patients who are financially compromised due to medical problems. This is a process that will take a couple of months to get your information and then arrange for someone to see you. Not all states have D.D.S. programs.
Answer 4 :
Go to a dental school clinic. They normally only charge for the cost of materials. The dental students are supervised by a faculty member.

Answer 1 :
THAT IS SOO WEIRD, i live in Indianapolis, i live right outside of Broad Ripple! Well i was born at St.Vincents They are SO great! My friends mom has breast cancer, and she goes there and they are SO great! I wouldn't work at Mehodist because i got in a car wreck with some of my friends in May, someone hit a red light. Well anyway we were bruised and i had to get an x-ray, the people were nice they just were VERY slow! we got to the hospital at 11:30 pm and didnt leave until 2:10 am!! More than half the time we were just sitting in bed!
Answer 2 :
It all depends on what your specialty is or what you want to get into. Methodist has everything, but is not my favorite place. I worked at St Francis and absolutely hated it. I am not big on letting religion dictate medical care. Wishard is a good if you like trauma, but you also get a lot of indigent patients. I worked at IU and really liked it. It is a smaller hospital and in my opinion the physicians there are very personable, but July (when the new residents start) can be kind of strenuous. The VA hospital in Indy is nice. There is a wide variety of patients and specialties provided. They just opened a Poly-trauma center for the people hurt in Iraq. The VA benefits and retirement are hard to beat. There are also some smaller hospitals north of Indianapolis that are nice. Most places in Carmel are very nice and good patient population, and Riverview in Nobelsville is a very nice facility. Hope this helps.
Answer 3 :
I'm no longer in the profession, but your field may narrow down the choices. If you want to stay in the north St. Vincent or Community North are a couple of considerations. The IUPUI campus offers several choices (Riley Children's, IU Med Center, Wishard & VA) also, but it's close to downtown so you'd have a bit of a drive. Most of the med-pros I know like St.V.
Answer 4 :
Downtown Methodist is THE big trauma Indianapolis Hospital. Riley is THE best children's Hospital. St. Francis is a great general hospital, where lots of babies are born.. including mine.
Answer 5 :
methodist hospital.
Answer 6 :
Methodist is under alot of heat right now for accidently killing nicu babies and paralyzing a women with morphine during child birth (would not want to be a nurse there) but are known for their heart/cath center St. Vincents (carmel or 86th st) are good RIley's is a good Children's hospital (for children born with serious diseases) WIshard Hosp is our "state funded" hosp. It is large and has a wonderful trama center There are 4 Community Hospitals (N, S, E, W) that are wayy smaller) IU hospital is very tech. advanced St. Vincents also has a children's hospital, specialty rehab hosp, women's hosp (labor & del) I used to work in the pharmacy at Methodist. They own IU and RIley, also. They have good pay, shift differential, matched 401k (20 percent I think) and paid holidays and have flexible schedules (1st, 2nd, 3rd shift)
