I'm 16. I need to find an employer in Indianapolis that pays decently and is flexible with schedules.
I currently work at an Indianapolis Kmart. I'm looking more along the lines of a Marshall's or a K&G Store.

What about being a hostess at a restaurant.
Answer 2 :
You may not want to work for McDonalds but from the way I understand they are: Very flexible Pay great Advance frequently At your age- This would probably be a good fit.
Answer 3 :
Just work in a supermarket, less embarrassing than a fast food place but still work!

About which of the towns outside of Indianapolis are good to live in

Which of the towns outside of Indianapolis are good to live in?
We are thinking of moving there but don't want to live in Indianapolis. My husband would work in the city so we don't want to be too far out. Any suggestions and why do you thing that is a good area? (any places to avoid??)

Answer 1 :
I live in Crawfordsville It's about a 35 minute trip to the edge of Indy. It takes me about 45 to 50 minutes to get downtown. It's a great town that has a lot to offer but is pretty far out. Avon is a nice area as is Brownsburg but the traffic is really bad in both places. Both of those towns are pretty big. My cousin lived in Brownsburgh for a few years and liked it. She lived in a smaller neighborhood that was pretty far out of town. That gave it a smaller town feel. Clelrmont which is close to both is more like a small town atmosphere. Most of the suburbs around Indianapolis seem pretty nice. The crime rate seems highest in the Speedway/38th street area.
Answer 2 :
My sister lives in Fischers. Its a lovely area and the school district is great.

Answer 1 :
Carmel Schools are by far the best.
Answer 2 :
IPS is not that good at all Try the suburbs Brownsburg, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Greenwood, Southport are a few, If not try the local Township schools. Perry, Wayne,Franklin etc... Good Luck :)
Answer 3 :
Lawrence Township in Marion County has good elementary magnet schools: Indian Creek for science and technology and Forest Glen for international/language studies. There are two high schools in Lawrence Twp., Lawrence North and Lawrence Central and as of next fall, two middle schools, Belzer and Fall Creek Valley. Washington Township in Marion County has several good elementary and middle schools, but only one huge high school, North Central. Carmel, a mostly wealthy suburb to the north, has had a reputation for having very good schools, but recently there have been a some troubling incidents involving a few high school students. These incidents do not reflect on the academic quality of the schools, though. Other school districts to consider include Zionsville, Hamilton Southeastern, Plainfield, Brownsburg, Avon, and Pendleton. I am not so familiar with the schools on the south side, though. Cathedral High School, a private Catholic college-prep high school on the east side of Indianapolis is excellent. You need not be Catholic to attend. However, Cathedral can be very expensive unless you qualify for financial aid. Brebeuf, a Jesuit high school on the NW side of Indianapolis, is another good private high school, and there are many good parochial schools, too. Other private schools worth mentioning are Park Tudor, University High School, and the International School.
Answer 4 :
Stay away from IPS first of all. They're terrible. Try to stay away from Warren and Pike also. There's a lot of violence in those areas and a lot of "people" who think they're all that. These are the Eastside and Northwestside. I'd probably go to Washington township, Carmel or Fishers. These are the Northern parts of Indy. They are stereotypically called the wealthy areas. But they are also the friendliest and pleasing to the eye. Everywhere else Southport, Greenwood, Avon etc aren't bad either. Just stay away from IPS, Pike and Warren. If you had asked a few years ago, I'd say go to Wayne township because I went there and during the time I was in school (2003-2008) there was a lot of growth in our area (Westside). But a lot of IPS integration in our township has caused "problems". This is most likely due to a dress code implemented in 2007 causing IPS students living borderline IPS, township regions to register at other schools. STAY AWAY FROM IPS! And Warren and Pike if you can...

I would look around at the different property management and real estate investment groups. They're always buying properties for rehab and resale.

Put an ad in your local paper.. Let it read like this... Got a honey do list your honey won't do? Let me do them for you...And I won't charge too much either. Anything from plumbing, roofing, yard work, whatever,.... just give me a call...LIst your phone number... good Luck
Answer 4 :
I hear there are people needing services still in the south to help rebuid homes due to the hurricane, a lot are still homeless, might look into that, unless you prefer to stay where you are
