Answer 1 :
Check out the contractor vigorously, don't take there word, go look at the past work he claims to have done. That's how you can find and maybe be able to refer them to someone asking this very question, you can do it.
Answer 2 :
I consider myself a Very good contractor, unfortunately I don't travel that far. All my business is word of mouth. Ask neighbors who they have used in the past. CHECK THEIR REFERENCES! Ask for a half dozen of more, then call a few. Most contractors wont tell you about Bad Jobs, but I believe how a person handled the "not so good jobs" speaks more about them than a whole page of Good references. So ask for a few names of people who's jobs didn't go so good as well.
Answer 3 :
I am a contractor in Indianapolis and do work such as painting , building decks and many other jobs. Please check out my website at doortothepast.net for more information. I am reliable and can give you references. Thanks

TRY TO GET JOB WITH COLT FOOTBALL TEAM
Answer 2 :
Try posting your resume on Monster.com. You get call backs really quickly from there. Good Luck on the job search. I know its hard.
Answer 3 :
<www.agogoing.com> sell ugg boot,t-shirt,handbag,sunglass,hat,nike shoes, jordan shoes, dunk shoes, puma shoes, and so on for free shipping.Friend may be interested in. .. oh, look at perhaps will give you a surprise, oh Never mind Oh bother, if requested
Answer 4 :
Why not apply for something with the state. I used to work as a paralegal in child support and had great benefits. They are always looking for people & usually the minimum requirement is a bachelors. Good luck with your search. http://www.in.gov/spd/2334.htm
Answer 5 :
Don't post your resume online - you will get people that are 'interested' but really have nothing to offer. A better bet - look around you to see what companies are nearby and cruise their sites directly to see what positions they are hiring. Uncertain where you live in the city but some that I know are hiring now are Nestle, Honda, Roche, Lilly and some hospitals. Check to see what is around you - do not rule anyone out (you never know what they might have a need for). With the right resume you could parlay your teaching experience into a training position or even management (front line anyway.) Good luck!

About Is there a dental school in Indianapolis that will do your dental work for free

Is there a dental school in Indianapolis that will do your dental work for free?
Dental - 3 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Try this place: Indiana University School of Dentistry 1121 West Michigan Street Indianapolis, IN 46202 (317) 274-7957
Answer 2 :
No dental school anywhere will do your work for free. All dental schools, however, do work at a significantly reduced cost. Plan on making several trips there without having your chief complaint addressed, too. Things take quite a bit longer to get done in a dental school than in private practice. The best part about it is that you will have the opinions and experience of several dentists rather than just one in a private office. I hope I answered your question.
Answer 3 :
Dr. Slapshot (canadian dentist, eh?) lol.... is correct. What you save in money you pay for in time...but the work is quality - my dad has a crown that was done at U. Ill. that is older than ME and is still holding strong. And what's the deal with people wanting stuff for free? I mean, even people who get homes with Habitat for Humanity have to put SOMEthing into it... I work at a non-profit clinic and we charge as little as 25% of regular fees and some people still complain. Hey, the non-profit has to pay for supplies, even if they get grants to pay for staff..

About As a young professional, in what neighborhood of Indianapolis should I live

As a young professional, in what neighborhood of Indianapolis should I live?
I'm 24, moving to Indianapolis for work, I just wanted to know what the nicer, fun neighborhoods are and what I can expect to pay in rent
Indianapolis - 3 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Depending on where you are going for work , what side of town and how much you want to pay for rent etc. The north side in Carmel, Fishers, and Noblesville is quite nice but at a price. This is the more expensive side of the city (Just outside the city limits) The west side has Brownsburg a nice quite place low crime rate and not bad as far as housing in the price category. Now if you want to live within the city Broad Ripple is a happening place within the city a town within the city. Also you have Lawrence which is not bad,Lawrence is north and eat Broad ripple is Northside center. The city itself i would get some local papers or look in the indydtar.com for housing crime rates etc. Happy to have you here GOOD LUCK:)
Answer 2 :
New York.
Answer 3 :
It matter were you work and what type of area. Downtown is coming back for young professional. Broad-ripple with all its clubs is like downtown with all the traffic. Many yuppies like to live in the outlying area Noblesville, Carmel, Brownsburg. As long as you are close to a freeway you usually within 45 minutes of downtown. Rent varies from 500 up. It matter what you are looking for in you apartment or condo.

About should I move to Indianapolis for my career or Seattle for my family

Should I move to Indianapolis for my career or Seattle for my family?
I was offered the chance to go work in our Indianapolis office, it probably would mean advancement. But I don't even know if this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I kind of fell into this career. My niece is having a baby and I wouldn't mind going to live in Seattle. I lived there before and really miss it.
Careers & Employment - 11 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Go with your heart or take the risk of Indianapolis and if it doesn't work out go back to Seattle.. Good Luck :)
Answer 2 :
Family first - they will be more loyal than any company you would ever work for. Besides it gets expensive traveling back and forth to visit. So my vote is for Seattle.
Answer 3 :
Your offered a chance for advancement in Indy? That is not a great move for you. Stay in Seattle, there are plenty of opportunities for you there. Let me put it another way.....No, don't go to Indy....you will hate your life there.
Answer 4 :
Take the Job in Indianapolis with the condition that you get an extra week of vacation to go visit your Niece when she has her baby. Work a year or 2 and plan for a relocation to Seattle via another job or another transfer. It always looks good on the resume to transfer for your company at least once and what Seattle has to offer will still be there when you are better equipped to make that transition. Good luck!
Answer 5 :
Well, there's your answer...Seattle it is. Since you sound like you are familiar with both places, you should already know what you're getting into. Consider the cost-of-living. Indianapolis is one of the least expensive places for housing...Seattle one of the more expensive. Everything else being equal, settle for Seattle. By the way, Seattle receives a lot of negative hype for so much rain...it's not true. The average annual rainfall in Dallas is greater than Seattle...good luck !
Answer 6 :
Which one is going to pay the bills?
Answer 7 :
I'd first find out if the move would definitely mean advancement, or just a lateral move. But if you're not thrilled with this career, then how about looking for a similar position in the same industry in Seattle?
Answer 8 :
I would think about it for a few years, and try to pick the best compromise. If you think you can find a good job in Seattle, go for it. It's really a much bigger risk than you think to move to Indianapolis. Yes you may advance but any number of things could happen. The company could close that office or go under, or the management in that office may not like you as much and you'll be miserable or if it's really bad, they could have a layoff or let you go. You have to consider the "what-ifs". And as you mentioned, you weren't planning to make this your career which is a red flag right there. I've been in that situation, which really never works out. Plus you won't be able to see your family nearly as much, so you should consider how that would affect your living situation and attitude in the long run. You won't know anyone in Indy either, and moving isn't exactly cheap if you end up taking that opportunity and changing your mind. Also consider if the best compromise (if you don't like the opportunities you find in Seattle right now) is to stay right where you are and move to the place you want when the time is right.
Answer 9 :
Just remember, if you take the job, and it doesn't work out, you can always go back to your family. Of course if it does work out, maybe your family will come to you. Good luck with whatever you choose.
Answer 10 :
Go to Seattle, better people, smarter people, nicer location. Family is the cream on top. Indy is a horrible place to live, filled with racist people.
Answer 11 :
It sounds like your heart is in Seattle. I have lived in Indianapolis and it is nice there too. Even if you are not sure you want to stay in your current career, are you ready to make a switch right now? If you are, then go with your heart to Seattle.

About do heat pumps work well in indianapolis

Do heat pumps work well in indianapolis?
Maintenance & Repairs - 3 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Heat pumps are good to about 35 degrees..that is when they are at their best. Under 35 degrees they require supplemental help. There are Dual Fuel systems that use the heat pump to 35 deg then shift to natural gas for anything below. I live in Owensboro, KY which is about 200 miles south of you and my heat pump cost me a mint in the dead of winter. It was not duel fuel and uses electric resistance heating and I could watch money flying out the window
Answer 2 :
heat pumps help both heat and cool so you need to average a whole year both heat and cooling if done right they are fine in your area but yes you may need some added heat ..again if a quality unit is installed by a quality installer u will be pleased with how little u spend on heat and cooling and your local installer should know what you need . in your area.
Answer 3 :
I have had heat pumps in two homes. They are terrible. Especially in the winter. I never got enough heat out either of them when it was below 35 deg. I would never buy one or have one in a home that I lived one. Get bids on a good 13, or better, seer unit and save yourself allot of money in the long run.
