About Need a job in the Indianapolis area

Need a job in the Indianapolis area?
Hello. I am seeking work in the Indianapolis area. I currently work for a company, but the office is closing (another victim of the economy). I have my bachelor's degree and have taught elementary education for 4 years. Can anyone give me some helpful advice? Please do not tell me to tutor. I need a FULL TIME job, making no less than $1600 a month with benefits. Thanks for any help.

Try posting your resume on Monster.com. You get call backs really quickly from there. Good Luck on the job search. I know its hard.

Why not apply for something with the state. I used to work as a paralegal in child support and had great benefits. They are always looking for people & usually the minimum requirement is a bachelors. Good luck with your search. http://www.in.gov/spd/2334.htm

Don't post your resume online - you will get people that are 'interested' but really have nothing to offer. A better bet - look around you to see what companies are nearby and cruise their sites directly to see what positions they are hiring. Uncertain where you live in the city but some that I know are hiring now are Nestle, Honda, Roche, Lilly and some hospitals. Check to see what is around you - do not rule anyone out (you never know what they might have a need for). With the right resume you could parlay your teaching experience into a training position or even management (front line anyway.) Good luck!
